You must own this to game on the AppleTV!
The gaming on the AppleTV was compelling enough for me to upgrade. The remote is fantastic but it isn't ideal for intensive gaming. My first game was Rayman Adv The gaming on the AppleTV was compelling enough for me to upgrade. The remote is fantastic but it isn't ideal for intensive gaming. My first game was Rayman Adventures. It worked possibly with the remote. Once I paired the Nimbus it took the game to a whole new level! I was able to work on mastering the game and not the controls. This is really mandatory for anybody that wants to seriously game with the new AppleTV. It brings the console experience to Apple!

Fantastic/Beautiful Pro Gaming Controller!
Received the controller in the mail today and was pleasantly surprised. The build quality and design far exceeded my expectations. Responsive and very comfortable to hold. Probably the best controller I've used. Feels so good. $49 really isn't that expensive for an incredibly designed, expensive feeling, easy to use product. For you guys whining about that lack of a charging cable, remember one came with your apple TV, iPhone, iPad, iPod etc. I'm pretty certain it's not that big of a deal to use that charging cable for a few hours per month to charge your controller. If you are worried because it's not 'designed by Apple in California', just buy the thing! It is up to par with apple's design for sure.

Bought this with my iPad Pro and it works amazing been playing DH5 and it's flawless with absolutely no lag, wish all games had the option for game pad support.

Steelcase Controllers
I bought two of these thinking that my kids could play Minecraft at the same time. NOT! I could not get the two paired to work at the same time. They just will I bought two of these thinking that my kids could play Minecraft at the same time. NOT! I could not get the two paired to work at the same time. They just will not work together. I am an IT specialist and I couldn't get them to work. It seems the Apple tv sees both of them but only one at a time works. So my kids frustrated and I am frustrated and now the devices sit in the tv storage table collecting dusk.

Stopped holding a charge
At first we loved the Steelseries Nimbus. But, after a couple years, it stopped holding a charge. You can plug it in and the lights all light up like it is char At first we loved the Steelseries Nimbus. But, after a couple years, it stopped holding a charge. You can plug it in and the lights all light up like it is charging, but after several hours of being plugged in, when you unplug it the controller is dead like you never plugged it in. I took it back to the Apple Store and they said they could not run a diagnostic on it because it was not their product. It is impossible to contact anyone at Steelseries, so we either have to buy another one, or we are just out of the $50.

no charger. difficult to control pac-man
i bought it for pac-man on 4ktv but pac-man won’t turn corners. plus i refuse to buy a lightning connector the controller prices at 50 dollars should come with i bought it for pac-man on 4ktv but pac-man won’t turn corners. plus i refuse to buy a lightning connector the controller prices at 50 dollars should come with it. not happy at all. definitely going back as soon as it stops raining. apple should micro manage what and how things are sold to their customers. this brand would have never gotten 5 dollars from me. my five year old is frustrated and screaming as i type this. perhaps commission sony to make a controller and a few games. apple can definitely kick it up a gear for its customers that prefer them to any other company to supply all their needs. am i asking to much apple.

  I started using the Nimbus on iPad Pro 2017 and iPhone Xr two days ago. Downloaded the Nimbus app on I started using the Nimbus on iPad Pro 2017 and iPhone Xr two days ago. Downloaded the Nimbus app on each device, turn on bluetooth in IOS settings (iPad), then turned on Nimbus controller. They connect very easily. Then opened Fortnite and started playing. There's a learning curve to go from touch controls to controller!

Gaming on a Mac is not what Apple is historically known for. However, with Apple delving into the fledgling virtual and augmented reality space, some traditional game interfaces and not so traditional interfaces (think HTC wands or Valve's knuckle controllers) now need to be supported on macOS to reap the VR/AR benefits to their fullest.

In the past this method only applied to the Xbox 360 controller, but the latest version of the software you'll be using also now supports the Xbox One controller.

How to download and install the drivers

We're assuming that you already own a wired Xbox controller, but if you're needing to buy, a standard controller is about $50. You'll need to connect it to your Mac using a microUSB cable which, sadly, isn't included. If you buy a third-party wired controller you won't have to worry about this.

Next, follow these steps.

Launch Safari.
Navigate to https://github.com/360/Controller/360Controller/releases.
Download the latest release of the 360Controller driver. As of this writing, the latest release is 0.16.5.
Go to your Downloads folder in Finder.
Double-click the 360Controllerinstall_*.dmg file.
Double-click the Install360Controller.pkg that pops up in Finder.
Click Continue.
Again, click Continue.

How to connect your Xbox 360 controller

Once you've installed the drivers, you'll now logically see that there are No devices found, since we have yet to physically connect the game controller to the Mac.

Plug in your controller to your Mac. If you have a current model MacBook or MacBook Pro, you'll need a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
Click OK when the System Extension Blocked warning message pops up.
Go into System Preferences via the dock or  menu.
Click Security & Privacy.
Under the General tab click the Lock at the bottom left.
Enter your password and click Unlock.
Click Allow.

Your Xbox wired controller should now be connected!
