writedeb, and all others looking for this update. It is no longer in the App Store to download - but if you already have iPhoto installed on your computer, you can still get it. Here's how:

1) Go to the App Store (Apple Menu in upper left hand of your screen).
2) When the App Store is open, click on Purchases. iPhoto should be in your list. Click on Update (or Install).
3) A progress bar should open up, and the update should download and install.
4) If this does not happen, then do the following. Go to System Preferences.
5) Click on Users & Groups
6) Click the lock to make changes. Enter your password.
7) Click the + sign to add a user. Check 'Allow user to administer this computer'. Give the new user a password you'll remember (write it down)
8) Restart your machine, and log into the new user.

9) Repeat steps 1) and 2). This time iPhoto should download and install.
10) Once it's installed, log out of your new user and log into your regular user and make sure iPhoto now works.
11) If this did not work, make an appointment with the Apple Store to talk with them either in person or by phone.

The program's download and installation, in part due to the native installer, completed quickly, and setup required acceptance of a user agreement. Support for updates appeared to be available and, while there were no easily located instructions, the program's menus were easy to figure out. After the program automatically loads the photos available on the computer, the user can select from a number of buttons along the top row of the program. These allow creation of new libraries, adding existing libraries, and opening iPhoto for further editing. The graphics associated with the buttons are easy to read. Users can also merge libraries as well as locate and delete duplicate photos, a welcome option for those who are in need of hard drive space. While iPhoto Library Manager for Mac does not advertise itself as a photo editor, some basic editing features would have been a welcome addition to the program, rather than simply directing the user to iPhoto.
